WAG - Wanganui Artist Guild - www.whanganuiartists.org 
WAG’s objectives are to initiate and develop arts-related projects: Lobby in support of artists. Coordinate visual arts information for public access. Publish a quarterly broadsheet, Frisky, that includes a calendar of events as well as articles and reviews. Develop a website for artists in the Whanganui region.

It is a time for all artists to open their studio's to the public. Run over a weekend for over 5 years it has proven to be a popular activity for many people around the lower half of the Island.

Wanganui Potter's Society

The Potter's Society is a fantastic society to belong too!  Studio situated at the back of the community art centre at 19 Taupo Quay. Receive updated newsletters, use of the building and kiln, joint exhibitions, groups and classes, many fun events to attend, and on top of all that you get to use their library and much more.
